Package
Every component in TARGET 3001! consists of a schematic symbol and a package proposal which you may use or deviate from. The package (body, housing, footprint, landpattern) is the PCB layout "fraction" of a component. A package in TARGET 3001! consists of an outline drawing according to the datasheet and a pattern of solderable footprints.
Using the project kind: "Layout without schematic" you can use any package without symbol as well.
After pressing OK the package is fixed to your cursor for placement in the layout. Place the package by single mouseclick M1. In the layout later it will look that way:
You may draw your own package in case the ones provided in TARGET 3001! don't match. How to do so please find in the edit component article.
