Warning: Some components do not have a model
Back to Simulation Assistant
The simulator cannot work with the component, i.e. the component does not contain any information for the simulation.
The component will be ignored for the simulation, or a model must be inserted:
Why it is possible that a component in TARGET 3001 does not possess a model: Some complex components e.g. microprocessors cannot be effectively modeled with SPICE, since the model would have to be built up as alternate circuit with individual transistors, but the computation time becomes enormous with thousands of transistors. These components only have models for its IO behaviour, i.e. only the pins are modeled. A trivial reason for a missing model. Model import or creation.
What is a model in TARGET3001!: Please look at introduction What you should know about simulation or tutorial Models in (P)SPICE and TARGET 3001!.
For fast remedy: Search in the library for a comparable component with model and replace it.
Model import or creation:
- If a modelcard or a subcircuit is needed. Import extern models
- If a modelcard/subcircuit is not needed or not available. Writing models
- If a circuit should become a model in form of a subcircuit. Drawing models with the subcircuit generator
