RULE to TARGET 3001!

TARGET 3001! has it's origin in the DOS based Design software R.U.L.E. It is a German acronym which stands for Rechner Unterstützter Leiterplatten Entwurf. Later Rule merged into TARGET 3001! meanwhile this is 20 years ago.

Nevertheless there are customers having old Rule layouts and wish to convert them to TARGET 3001! - Surprise - it works. The Rule files have the file extension *.LAY. We proceed in this example using a Rule file called Plat_A.LAY

TIP: DOS files those days were able to have only eight characters in front of the point and three characters after. In case you had renamed your Rule files showing characters more than that in the meantime, you first need to rename them back.
