VAT-ID
When selling to private persons in Germany and the Eropean Community (EC), we have to add 19 % ValueAddedTax (VAT). When selling to companies within the European Community, we are allowed to avoid the billing of VAT if the company shows it's VAT-ID.
VAT-ID is the abbreviation of ValueAddedTax IDentification code. A commercial customer within the EC showing this code will be billed without this 19% ValueAddedTax (VAT).
The problem is, that we as the vendor have to proove it's validity towards the German finance authorty. For this purpose the German finance authority offers a web page where this approval can be done online. It is to prove the matching of the code with the correct company name which was used the day when the VAT ID was applied for. Please transmit to us your correct company name you had used those days. In cases of incompleteness or misspelling the confirmation might be rejected. In such a case we are forced to bill VAT.
