WMF means Word Metafile.
TARGET 3001! enables you to insert parts of your schematic or layout into text documents using the word metafile format. Find this option in Menu File / Input/Output Formats / File transfer/Documentation / "Plan/layout via WMF in Word etc..."
By pressing [Strg]+[Alt]+[V] in MS Word the following dialog opens and allows the use of the option "Insert contents". Now you can select Image (Windows-Metafile) (see image).
