For a PCB designer the most important thing is how powerful the software is. It is not important how expensive the hardware is, how much the software costs or how long and costly the start-up time is. The main thing is to be able to work productively some day.

A DEVELOPER on the other hand has different needs: a quick start-up time, great flexibility, the software needs to be able to run on his current desktop computer, and the software should not be too expensive. His main concern is to solve the electronics problem and not to worry about the software.

TARGET 3001! satisfies all these requirements! It is a schematic editor, simulator, PCB layout editor, autorouter, and frontpanel engraving tool - all-in-one. ONE SINGLE PROGRAM handles all project data and save in ONE SINGLE PROJECT FILE (with real-time forward- and back-annotation). You can view both the schematics and PCB layout together on your screen and even work with multiple projects - all at the same time.

• Directly analyze a complete design with the help of the integrated mixed-mode simulation.
• Extensive libraries containing electrical and mechanical component properties as well as most of the simulation models and parameters.
• All parameters and models can be easily edited.
• Berkeley-SPICE and PSPICE compatible models can be imported from the web.
• All component and package properties can be individually edited, even if the component is already used in your schematic or PCB.
• Move single pins or pads or change the whole look of the component. These changes do not have any effect on the libraries, unless you force a library update.
• An intelligent AUTO-PLACER working with modern heuristic methods placing the components according to minimal wire lengths.
• Fully integrated CONTOUR AUTO-ROUTER routes the PCB according to specified design rules. You might interrupt the process to route particular tracks manually, then let the autorouter continue the job.
