General
A component in TARGET 3001! is made of a
- layout package (pattern of solderable footprints).
Components are stored in symbol- and package libraries. Symbols and Packages are imported from a library to the schematic or the layout. Symbols and packages are exported to libraries after having created or modified them.
Edit components
There are by far more symbols than packages in use. But sure not all components can be found in the libraries. So soon the question will arise: how do I draw a component in TARGET 3001! myself? Besides a "Superquick component drawing" instruction please find the following explanations for drawing components: Edit component
Search and replace component shape
Find this dialog in Menu Components / "Search and replace component shape".
Select first a kind of component on the left side, and the components to be replaced from the list. Then select the new component from the library on the right side. Activate the according check-box for the component information of the list of in the section below. This function is very helpful if you need to replace several components in the schematic.
Reload component properties
Find this dialog in Menu Components / "Reload component properties"
Only the properties of the components in the schematic will be replaced here. Select first a kind of component on the left side and the components for the properties to be replaced from the list. Then select the new component from the library on the right side. Activate a check-box for the component information of the property list in the section below. This function is very helpful if you need to replace several component properties in the schematic. Reload component properties.

Export all components into a library
This function is to be found in the Menu Components and saves all packages and / or symbols of the current project into a selected (custom) library.
